What are the benefits of the two different photo-booths or for lack of a better term, the Pros and Cons?

First, I believe the main thing to remember is behind the curtain or open air is more of a preference than a right or wrong booth for the job.

Behind the curtain photo-booths are more of a tradition nostalgic sit-down booth. When someone says photo-booth that’s what comes to mind. A booth with a curtain that you and your friends or lovers would cram into at an amusement park, arcade, shopping center or while on vacation. To give you that memory to hold onto for years. What happens behind the curtain stays behind the curtain, or at least until the images are printed. No one can see you and what goofy faces you're making or maybe having that kiss from that special someone in your life.

You can fit anywhere from 1 to 8 people comfortably in the booth, but I have seen as many as 12 people cram themselves behind the curtain and laugh with every flash.

Open-air booths are just as fun, but nothing is secretive; everyone can see your pose or your guest can try to join in. Because there is not a curtain or bench to sit on, you can fit more people in front of the booth's camera. Backdrops are part of the open-air booth that can be customized to fit your event, with anything from a beach scene, to a sparkling black and gold backdrop. Behind the curtain booths are more of a white and or solid colored curtain.

Both booths are great fun and can give your guests memories that will last a life time. Which booth is better for your event, is up to you, there is no right or wrong answer. Just remember to grab a prop, smile, and capture a memory.

I have been a provider of entertainment for weddings, parties, fundraiser and many other events. Along with capturing memories on film and paper, since I was in high school; (Lets not talk about how long ago that was), it still amazes me that some have a tendency to have cousin Tom, a friend of a friend, or a vendor that will book your date without a contract or deposit just to fill their calendar.

Cheaper or free isn't always better, sometimes you get what you paid for. I have seen so many post on social media from someone having a party or wedding, asking for help because they couldn't get a hold of their DJ, Photographer etc, or that their vendor backed out on them and now they are stuck to fill that spot with someone else.

Let me try to help you:

1. Don't rely on a family member or friends to do it for free, because there is no incentive for them to accommodate your venue if something else where to arise on your date.

2. Remember if you find one vendor that will beat any other vendors price, won't offer a contract or need a deposit, more than likely, if another event comes up that may offer to pay more, you may lose them.

3. Most important thing I can tell you is, get a CONTRACT, even if its a hand written agreement. Something that is binding and lets you know you won't get stuck looking or asking for help to find someone else.

At RAD Productions, we have contract agreements for every service we offer and we send them out to you to look over and read at your own convenience to sign and return to us in plenty of time of your event. You can rely and depend on RAD Productions to not let you down.
